Raleigh - Tyler Fox Viscardi, 20, died Friday, August 1. Tyler was born and grew up in Greenville, NC. He attended the St. Peters Catholic School, and went on to the Arendell Parrott Academy of Kinston, from which he graduated high school. He made friends easily, and had many devoted close friends that he met through school and his many activities. With his wonderful sense of humor and his easy manner, he always brought a smile to peoples faces, and he loved to make them laugh. Tyler enjoyed athletics and participated on the soccer and lacrosse teams in school. He was an enthusiastic New York Giants fan throughout his life. In addition, he loved surfing, skiing, and camping with his family. Tyler cared much for people less fortunate than him, and was involved in multiple service activities. He participated in several Greenville Life Teen Missions sponsored by St. Peters Church, and also the SERV trip to Peru sponsored by Parrott Academy. Tyler was attending the University of Maryland, and would be starting his junior year this Fall. He was a Government and Politics major, and was very active in his fraternity there. His family will always carry the love of Tyler in their hearts. Surviving are his parents, Amy Avellone Viscardi and Dr. Jeffrey Joseph Viscardi; his sister, Chelsea Morgan Viscardi; his maternal grandmother, Patricia Fox Avellone; his paternal grandmother, Catherine Morrow Viscardi; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, August 7, at 10 AM at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 219 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, NC 27603. There will be a gathering in honor of Tyler Fox Viscardi following the funeral mass from 11:30AM-1:30PM at the Renaissance Raleigh North Hills Hotel, 4100 Main at North Hills Street, Raleigh, NC 27609. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to NC Chapter, US Lacrosse. In memo line please include Tyler Fox Viscardi Fund.
