Vanessa "Vinnie" Garrahan

GARNER – Vanessa “Vinnie” Garrahan, 65, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2024. She was born in Fort Dix, New Jersey on May 19, 1959, and was the daughter of the late Leonard Nicholas Clements, and Rosemary Kruse Clements.

Vanessa was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. On February 14, 1978, she married the love of her life and best friend, Guy R. Garrahan, spending 46 memorable years together. Together they raised three children whom Vanessa loved very dearly. She will be remembered fondly by her family and friends as a woman of great strength and conviction who loved to cook and dance.

Vanessa moved from New Jersey to Florida where she resided for 31 years, she then moved to North Carolina where she resided for 16 years until her passing from complications of breast cancer in which she fought a hard battle for 13 years.

In addition to her parents, Vanessa was preceded in death by her brother, Richard C. Clements.

Vanessa is survived by her loving husband, Guy R. Garrahan; daughter April J. Garrahan; sons, Steven L. Garrahan, and Richard A. Garrahan and wife Dana Garrahan; 8 grandchildren; sister Diana Clements; brothers, Leonard Clements, and John Clements.
