Verlene G. Campbell

Angier- Verlene Gregory Campbell, 85, passed away at her home on Tuesday surrounded by her loving family. A native of Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Hattie Byrd Gregory. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12:00 PM at Hilltop Church, Fuquay. Burial will follow in the Byrd Family Cemetery, Angier. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 PM on Friday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Angier. Verlene is survived by her sons, Mark Campbell (Lisa), Danny Campbell (Judy) of Falcon, David Campbell of Angier; six grandchildren, Valerie Campbell, William Mark Campbell, Jr., Crystal Barefoot (Brian) all of Angier, David Lee Campbell (Michelle) of Willow Spring, Brian Campbell (Stephanie) of Falcon, Travis Collins (Leslie) of Angier; five great-grandchildren, Destiny, Jayden, John David, Kayden, Savannah; sister, Betty Pollard (Joe) of Angier; brother, Jerry Gregory (Joyce) of Angier. In addition to her parents, Verlene is preceded in death by her husband, William H. Campbell; son, Billy Campbell; sisters, Mavis Hughes, Alvie Hamilton, Lozzie Thompson; brother, Talmaige Gregory.
