Vickie Deberry Lee

GARNER – Friday, August 16, 2024, Vickie DeBerry Lee, 69, passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer.

Vickie was born in Raleigh, NC, on October 27, 1954, to the late Ray Merle DeBerry and Aileene Hamilton DeBerry. Vickie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother (Gia), daughter, sister, and friend.

Vickie was a 1973 graduate of Garner Senior High School and was married for 41 years to her high school sweetheart, Wallace Lee, before his passing in 2016. Vickie is survived by her children, Bryan Lee of Mocksville, Chris Lee and wife, Whitney of Clayton, Brooke Hire and husband, Matthew of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Camden Hire of Knoxville, TN, Griffin Hire of Fayetteville, Ayden Lee of Sneads Ferry; sister, Janice Mitchell of Garner; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as her beloved dog, Murphy.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, August 22nd in the chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Rd. Garner, NC 27529. A committal service with entombment will follow the service in the Mausoleum Chapel at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh.
