Vijay L. Kapil

Vijay L. Kapil, 74, of Raleigh died March 22, 2012 after a long illness. He was born on May 21, 1937 in Varanasi (Kashi), India to the late L. S. Kapil and Sushila Hosali Kapil. He received his B.S. degree in Mathematics and Physics from St. Xaviers University in Mumbai, India and his M.S. degree from Syracuse University. Mr. Kapil retired from IBM after a career of almost 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Beth Shuler Kapil; daughter, Sushila Nordone of Raleigh; son, Narayan Kapil of Charlotte; grandchildren, Kathryn Nordone, Alex Nordone and Luke Nordone all of Raleigh; brother, Ajit L. Kapil of Chicago and sister, Jyotsna Kumar of Chicago. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Ravi L. Kapil, Dr. Balvir L. Kapil, and Tej L. Kapil and sister, Kalpana Kumar. A private family Hindu funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00AM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Road followed by cremation.
