Violet Mooneyham Stevens

CLAYTON – Violet Mooneyham Stevens, 86, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner; and other times at the home of Vonda and Robert Lindsay. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 11:00 am in Maplewood Cemetery, Clayton. Violet was born in Johnston County on June 14, 1932 to the late Ivan and Luna Mooneyham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert E. Stevens; sisters, Elsie Benson, Evelyn Jones; and brother, Willard Mooneyham. She is survived by her daughters, Tonia Stevens of Clayton, Vonda Lindsay and husband, Robert of Clayton; grandchildren, Tyler Lindsay, Nash Lindsay; sisters, Mable Howard of Clayton, Dorothy Boykin of Zebulon; special nephew, Anthony Jones of Benson; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
