Virginia Leigh Mclean

Virginia Leigh McLean, 92, passed away on November 24, 2024, surrounded by her family. Born in 1932, Virginia was the daughter of Eddie and Cora Anne Henderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, her brother, Dan, and her son, Ray.

Virginia was born in Granville, North Carolina and met her future husband, Charles in Fuquay. They married in 1949 and lived in many locations over their marriage during Charles’ military service. Together they owned and operated a tobacco farm in Harnett County. Virginia loved spending time with her family, fishing at the coast with her siblings, tending to her flowers, and feeding and watching birds.

Virginia is survived by her son, Bobby; her sisters, Liz Tobias, Marie Nash, and Nan Lee; her grandchildren, Jessie, Ray (Brittany), Ryan (Lacey), Brian (Jennifer), Brandon (Moriah); her great-grandchildren, Jessie, Cheyenne, Erica, Hunter, Jeremy Jr., Haley, McKenzie, Aiden, CaliAnn; and her two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 from 1:00 to 1:45 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Angier. A service will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. The funeral home is located at 300 East McIver Street, Angier NC 27501.

Private interment for immediate family will take place at the Cokesbury Church Cemetery.
