Virginia Norris Langdon

Virginia Norris Langdon, 79, passed away Friday Jan. 13, 2017. Virginia retired from the State of North Carolina, she worked for N.C.S.U. She was the daughter of the late Troy and Nannie Norris. Virginia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Funeral service will be held 1pm Tuesday Jan. 17, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Garner. Burial to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Clayton. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Thomas Langdon; brothers, James, Troy Jr., and Bobby Norris; sisters, Mae Lee, Nellie Rollins and  Mozelle  Jones. Surviving are her son; Steve Langdon and wife Jean; granddaughter, Patricia Langdon Gallagher and husband Dan; great-granddaughter, Lillie Ann Gallagher; many nieces, nephews and their  families, special neighbors, Nelson Monroe and Jackie; their Square Dancing and church friends and loving dog Cammi. The family will receive friends and relatives Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
