WILLOW SPRING – William Marvin Blalock, 98, of 2190 Mt. Pleasant Road died Thursday. A native of Person County he was the son of Willie and Sally L. Blalock. He was a member of the Angier Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 at Angier Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Willow Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday one hour prior to the service at the church. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Grace A. Blalock; twin sons, Ray Blalock and wife, Betty, Russell Blalock and wife, Janice of Willow Spring; daughters, Ann B. Hunt and husband, Jack of Angier, Janice B. Johnson and husband, Huey of Angier; brother Dewey Blalock of Angier; sisters, Helen “Pug” B. Hudson and husband, Leigh of Garner and Dorothy B. Jordan and husband, Billy of Willow Spring; grandchildren, Cindy Abercrombie and husband, Wade, Alan Hargis and wife, Patti, Monica Singletary and husband, Macon, April Regan and husband, Jeremy, Christie Searles and husband, Chris, Karen Blalock and fiance’ Shane Helms, Jeffrey Blalock, Pamela Creech and husband, Stephen, Jeremy Blalock and wife Kathi; great-grandchildren, Zachre, Kaitlin and Riley Abercrombie; Luke, Lance and Harrison Hargis; Savannah, Stephanie, Mitchell and Sophia Singletary; Dane Byrd and Sara Grace Regan; Anna and Amanda Creech; Braxton Motley, Sebastian Helms, Morgan Durham, James and Lillian Blalock, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Blalock was preceded in death by brothers, Clarence, Braxton and Bruce Blalock, sisters, Louise B. Wolfe and Mary Ruth B.
