Wade Kenneth “Kenny” Fields

Wade Kenneth Fields passed away peacefully at home on October 2, 2018. He was born July 1, 1927 in Route One, Shannon NC to Wade Stackhouse and Sallie Hubbard Fields. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Fields, two brothers, Bill Fields and Horace Fields and sister, Lucille Renegar. He is survived by his son, Wade Thomas Fields of Dallas Texas, daughters, Denise Fields of Raleigh and Kim McNellis (Tom) of Charleston S.C.; grandchildren, Emily Fields, Samuel Fields, Joshua Browning and Janene Poole; great grandchild, Briana Fields; sister, Sara Parks of Charleston SC and brother, Donald Fields of Hope Mills NC; his best buddy, Janice Horton. Kenny was an Army veteran during WWII and afterwards worked for Atlantic Tobacco Company for 43 years. He was an avid golfer and will be missed by all of his golfing friends especially Jim and Dick. The family would like to extend a special thanks to his caregivers, Elaine Wiggins and Tierra Perry. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4:00-6:00 pm at Bryan Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Sunday at Bryan Lee Funeral Home with a graveside service at 2:00 pm at Lafayette Memorial Park, 2301 Ramsey St., Fayetteville NC (across from the old VA hospital) conducted by Creasy Proctor , Lodge 679 AF AM. Kenny was a member of this lodge for 61 years. In lieu of Flowers please donate to your favorite charity, or to Kenny’s special charity the Shriners Children’s hospital. Please NO FLOWERS.
