Waldine Watson Carraway

FUQUAY-VARINA- Waldine Watson Carraway, 87, passed away on Thursday at Universal Healthcare in Fuquay-Varina. A native of Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late Lafayette Watson and Lona Lamm Watson. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 3:00 pm at Upper Black Creek Primitive Baptist Church, 7613 Upper Black Creek Church Rd. Kenly, NC 27542. Burial will follow at the Watson Family Cemetery, Lucama. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:45 pm prior to the service at the church. Waldine is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Church and husband, Alan of Grassy Creek, Debra Watkins and husband, Richard of Greensboro; sons, Greg Carraway and partner, Saul Vargas of Atlanta, GA, Tim Carraway and wife, Laura of Fuquay-Varina; sister, Lois Bass of Lucama; brother, James “Alton” Watson and wife, Mary of Jefferson; grandchildren, Scarlet Dupree and wife, Samantha of Myrtle Beach, SC, Paul Watkins of Greensboro, Joe Watkins of Greensboro, Charlie Carraway of Asheville, Keith Mauger of Wilmington. In addition to her parents, Waldine is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Paul Hardy Carraway; granddaughter, Molly Carraway.
