Walter J. Holleman

Walter Jones Holleman, 71, died Sunday at his residence. He was  retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation. Walter was a very active member of Highland Baptist Church where he served in various capacities. Funeral services will be 12:00 pm Thursday at Highland Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. Surviving are his wife, Sandra J. Holleman; son, Alan T. Holleman and wife, Dena; daughter, Jacqueline A. Holleman;  granddaughters, Bailee M. Holleman and Kamryn L. Holleman; sister, Connie H. Durham; niece, Danielle Kelly and husband, Thomas; nephews, Danny Durham III and wife, Jennifer, Stevie Jones, and Kenny Jones and wife, Debbie The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 pm Wednesday at Bryan Lee Funeral Home, Garner. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607 or to Highland Baptist Church, 8524 Crowder Road, Raleigh, NC 275603.
