Walter “Jackie” Myatt, Jr.

October 19, 1948 — July 3, 2015

ANGIER – Walter Jackson “Jackie” Myatt, Jr. 66, passed away on Friday at his home. A native of Wake County, he was the son of the late Walter Jackson and Velma Collins Myatt. Funeral Service will be held Sunday at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Burial to follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Angier. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 2:00 pm. Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Jerry Lynn Mangum, children, Keith, Kevin and Kelly Myatt; sisters, Sandra Lee Myatt Mathewson of Nashville, TN, Joan Myatt Partin and husband, Randy of Willow Spring, Jennifer Jill Myatt Eudy and fiancé, Chris Bomia of Garner; brothers, Ronny Myatt and wife, Peggy of Raleigh; Garry “Skin” Myatt of Willow Spring; Dallas Nathan Myatt and wife, Lou-Ann of Chapel Hill; numerous nieces and nephews including a special nephew and niece, Steven and Anna Fowler; his beloved pets, Baby Girl Raven and Little Man Chief. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Collins Myatt. Flowers are appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to The American Diabetes Association, 2418 Blue Ridge Rd. Suite 206 Raleigh, NC 27607 in Jackie’s memory.
