Walter “Rand” Stallings

RALEIGH – Walter “Rand” Stallings, 90, passed away Monday. A veteran of the Korean War and native of Wake County, he was son to the late Walter and Meta Stallings. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Davis and brother, Alpheus Stallings. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:45 – 10:45 AM prior to the service. Rand is survived by his wife, Norma; son, Walter H. Stallings; daughter, Connie Stallings; grandchildren, Stacy, Emily and Allison Sanders. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the VA Hospital of Durham, NC, Amedisys Hospice Care and Center Peace Home Health Care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 3000 E. Garner Rd, Raleigh, NC 27610 or to the charity of ones choice in honor of Mr. Stallings.
