Wanda J. Whitaker

Erwin- Wanda Jean Whitaker, 66, passed away at home on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 after battling cancer for several months. She was born in Philadelphia on July 8, 1948. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Walter Evans and Jessie Avery Evans and her sister, Linda Lee Evans. Memorial Services will be held Sunday, 3:00 pm at Pleasant Memory Baptist Church, 579 Old Stage Road Coats, NC. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:15-3:00 pm prior to the service.She is survived by her daughters, Tabitha Reed of Erwin and Crystal Capps of Dunn; grandchildren, Kalimay Jean Reed, Dylan Drake Milagro Senacal and Kevin Daniel Capps; nieces, Jessica Garner and Wendy Stidham; nephew, Henry Evans; great-nieces, Amber Coleman, Elizabeth Evans and Raven Garner, friend, Judith Dean and husband, Raymond of Fuquay-Varina.Our Mom was very crafty, loved her sewing and monograming, loved line dancing and was very active in her church. She is loved and missed so much. She knew everything was going to be left in Gods hands. Following the service, the family invites friends and relatives to Tabitha Reeds house at 410 Wayne Lane, Erwin, NC.
