Wayne H. Carr

FUQUAY-VARINA – Wayne H. Carr, 84, passed on Thursday surrounded by his family members and loved ones. Born in West Virginia, Wayne was the son of the late Ollie Carr and Florence Gillespie Carr. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Fuquay-Varina. Wayne is survived by his daughters, Deborah Carr of Raleigh, Heather Cook and husband, Ron of Fuquay-Varina; son, Randall Carr of Raleigh; fiance, Frances Barefoot of Fuquay-Varina; sisters, Lois Stewart of Linthicum, MD, Rose Carr of Baltimore, MD; numerous nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Hannah Swindell and husband, Dustin of Greenville, Ashley Sumner and husband, Charlie of Fuquay-Varina; and one great-grandchild on the way, Elizabeth Grace. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Pinion Carr and a brother, Gene Carr. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle Raleigh, NC 27607 in Wayne’s memory.
