Whitney Lynn Beaver, 37, of Raleigh went to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 23, 2022, far too soon and quite unexpectedly. She was a loving, caring, talented, generous and hardworking young woman. Whitney graduated from Athens Drive High School (2004) and received her B.A. from the North Carolina School of the Arts (2009). She was employed by Community Care of North Carolina as a technical support supervisor. She was also a professional French horn player playing in area bands, show orchestras, and especially enjoyed church orchestras where she could truly worship God with her instrument. She also taught private horn lessons to many students in the community. Whitney was an extremely generous and caring person and a dear friend. She always put the needs of others before her own. She loved animals, especially cats, and was a devoted pet sitter. Whitney is survived by her parents David and Cindy Beaver of Raleigh and her two cat children "Etta” and “Frankie”. She loved and cherished her nephews and niece as though they were her own children. They are William, John, and Katherine Hennenlotter along with their parents Katie and Bill. She has a large family all very special and important to her in life. They are Pam Forrest (Benjie) who spoke with her every day and Becky Harrison (Keith) who were supportive throughout all facets of the formative years, and also a great-uncle, Fletcher Wolfe- a mentor and patron of the Arts. Special cousins who grew up together at church and school are Margie and Meg Harrison and Adam and Andrew Beaver. They were like a pack together. Other family includes aunts, uncles, and cousins Martha White (Gene), Kathy, Karen, Tommy, and Angie, Willie Wolfe, Brett and Howie Snotherly and Tim (Carolyn) Beaver. Special lifelong friends Debbie and Bobby Soles were both friends and mentors at church and band events and everywhere in between. Special friends and coworkers Patti Walsh (Dan) and Courtney Kelsay (Keith) became like family to Whitney, and she could tell you things she couldn't tell Mama! She loved you all! She was predeceased by her grandparents; Katherine and Ted Wolfe, McCoy and Lorene Beaver and Edna Bridges Beaver. Services for Whitney are on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 11:00 am at Temple Baptist Church, 1417 Clifton Street, Raleigh, N.C. 27604.
