Wilbert Pinkney Coats, Jr.

Holly Springs– Wilbert Pinkney Coats, Jr., 69, passed away on Thursday at his home. Born in Wake County, Wilbert was known fondly as Junior and was the son of the late Wilbert Pinkney Coats, Sr. and Fannie Ruth Barbour Coats. A service celebrating Junior’s life will be held on Saturday, February 12th at 2:00 PM at Shadow Ridge Baptist Church, 3400 Avent Ferry Rd. Holly Springs, NC 27540. Junior is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Jewell Dewar Coats; daughter, Candice Davis and husband, Michael of Davidson; son, Wilbert “Bert” Coats, III of Benson; grandchildren, Ryder Coats and Chase Davis; sister, Ruth Merle Coats and husband, Robert of Auburn; brothers, Ricky Coats and wife, Teresa of Auburn, Edward Coats and wife, Patricia of Raleigh.
