ANGIER- William Cadwell Adams, 38, died in Delray Beach, Florida on Thursday, March 22. He is the son of Monteen Fish Adams and the late Bill J. Adams of Fuquay Varina. In addition to his mother, Mr. Adams is survived by his wife, Heather of Angier, his children, Camie, 14, Ashlee, 11 and Caleb, 5 months. He is also survived by his sister, Ivy R. Adams, grandmother, Betty Z. Cowing, uncle, Joel R Adams, all of Raleigh, and aunt, Sandra Shannon of Monroe. Other survivors are a niece, Maggie Smith of Kernersville, first cousins, Kelly Moses of Charleston, S.C., Becky Spivey and David Melton of Wilmington and Lisa Fish Reyes of Angier. Growing up in Angier, Mr. Adams attended public schools there and later Harnett Central High School. With an innate ability for anything mechanical, he spent most of his adult life self-employed, working on small engines in various businesses in Harnett County and in the Clayton area. His greatest recreational passion was the game of golf. He had grown up in his fathers shadow on the golf course and became an outstanding amateur player. His other recreational interests were motorcycles, ATVs and karaoke. He loved singing and dancing whenever an opportunity presented itself. Mr. Adams was a member of Temple of Pentecost in Raleigh. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 29 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. The funeral will take place Friday, March 30 at 2 p.m. at Angier Baptist Church with Grover Blackburn officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, south of Angier. The family will be at the home of Mrs. Jack Cowing, 8100 Old Baucom Road, Raleigh 27610.
