William Edison Glover

William “Edison” Glover, Jr., 66, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Conway Medical Center after overcoming many medical obstacles. He never gave up and was always up for the challenge, with a smile on his face. He was born on June 21, 1955 in Laurinburg, North Carolina to the late William Edison Glover, Sr. & Katie Jewell Wilson Glover. Edison was a well-educated man who was a graduate of Sandhills Community College, class of 1975. His major focus was engineering which led him to have a successful career as a construction manager. In his free time, Edison found peace by the water. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping and traveling. He also relished watching movies with his family, admired VW Beetles and was skilled in woodworking. Above all else, Edison loved his family with his whole heart. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor and love for his family. Left to cherish Edison’s memory are his adoring wife of thirty-three years, Linda Anthony Glover of Myrtle Beach; daughter, Lauren Glover Culvahouse, her husband, Justin and their son, Preston of Cornelius, NC; son, William “Edison” Glover, III of Holly Springs, NC; daughter, Emilee Glover Jones and her son, Landon of Holly Springs, NC; sister, Sandra Lovette; mother in-law, Harolyn Anthony; his beloved dogs, Charlie & Sophie; several nieces, nephews and cousins; a large, loving extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors. A memorial service will be held 12:00 pm Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am - 11:50 am, prior to the service. At the request of the family, please consider memorial contributions in lieu of flowers.
