William Leonard Carmack

WILLOW SPRING - William Leonard Carmack, also known as Willie, passed away on December 26, 2023, at the age of 56 in Willow Springs, North Carolina. He was born on November 12, 1967, in Durham, North Carolina. William was a jokester who had a gift for making everyone laugh. Despite his health struggles, he always managed to bring lightheartedness wherever he went. Now, he is reunited with his Mama, Daddy, Stepdad, daughter, and brother, and we look forward to seeing him again in glory.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Parton Carmack Rigsbee; father, Watson Junior Carmack; stepfather, Larry Lee Rigsbee; daughter, Elizabeth Paige Carmack; and brother, Larry Randall (Randy) Rigsbee.

William is survived by his loving wife, Robin Warren Carmack; his children, Jason Milligan, Jessica Milligan, and Kayla Carmack; sisters, Kathy Carmack, Kristie Carmack Santos (David), Lillian Carmack Nottingham (Patty), and Rebecca Carmack Jones. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Adalynn, Carmelo, Rosalie, Jolie, and Salem; and nieces and nephews, Victoria Santos White, Nathaniel Santos, and John Jones.

In his educational journey, William attended Southern High School. He then pursued a career as a construction worker and also worked as a chef at Aramark. In his spare time, he was an avid fan of football, supporting the Dallas Cowboys, and a passionate supporter of the Duke Blue Devils. He also enjoyed Nascar racing and had a keen interest in history.

Bryan Lee Funeral Home located at 300 E. McIver St, Angier, NC 27501, will be assisting with the arrangements.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life service at a later date.
