William Parlie Parker

William Parlie Parker, 87, died Tuesday. A native of Johnston County he was the son of the late Rossie B. Parker and Lillie Frances Adams. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Estene Wood Parker. Mr. Parker was a retired mechanic in heating and air conditioning at Dorothea Dix Hospital. He will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, friend and christian. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Friday at Garner Advent Christian Church. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. Surviving are two sons, William Douglas Parker and wife, Elaine of Angier and James Dale Parker of Louisburg; daughter, Gale Parker Stephenson and husband, John of Raleigh; grandchildren, Tara Parker Hester and husband, Tommy, Adam Parker Stephenson and wife, Faith, and William Garrett Parker; great-granchildren, Taylor Hester, Tyler Hester, and Parker Stephenson; special nieces, Becky Woodard and Cathy Fowler; and special nephew Ryan Breedlove.
