RALEIGH - William Ronald Hartsfield, Jr., passed away unexpectedly in his home in the company of his devoted wife on April 13, 2025. He was born in Wake County, NC, on January 3, 1965, to the late William R. Hartsfield, Sr. and Jo Ann Brantley Hartsfield.
In addition to his parents, William is predeceased by his son, William R. Hartsfield, III; and sister, Ronda Parrish.
William is survived by his loving wife Janet F. Hartsfield, to whom he was married for 33 years; his son, Brandon Ennis; his uncle, Johnny Hartsfield (Terry); aunts, Peggy Carwell and Frances Smith; nephew, Cody Parrish; and nieces, Amanda Stewart (Donnie) and Sarah Parrish.
William loved cars, racing, and all the work associated with them. He worked with his father for forty years as an automotive mechanic and could often be found racing at Wake County Speedway for many years. He was a man of conviction and compassion and could bring smiles to every face in a room.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025 at 12:00 PM at HopeFront Church, 8246 Cleveland Road, Clayton, NC 27520 with a period of visitation from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM prior to the service.
In honor and memory of Williams son, Little William, donations may be made to Able To Serve (2100 Buffaloe Road, Garner, North Carolina 27529) or to HopeFront Church (Legacy Fund) (8246 Cleveland Road, Clayton, North Carolina 27520).
