William Samuel “Bill” Oakley

William Samuel “Bill” Oakley, 71 of Raleigh peacefully passed to new life on October 18, 2018 after a long illness. He was born on March 31, 1947 in Louisburg, NC to the late Charlie Green Oakley and Nina May Oakley. He was an active member of River of Life Church in Raleigh. Survivors include his sister Nina Winstead and her husband David Winstead of Hamlet, NC, his sister Phyllis Price and her husband Robert Price of Raleigh, his brother Charles Oakley of Franklinton, NC, his nephews Mark Winstead of Midland, GA and Chad Oakley of Puerto Rico, and his niece Jennifer King of Greenville, VA. The family will welcome friends to a visitation at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh on Sunday, October 21 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. At Bill’s request, memorial contributions may be made to River of Life Church, 5508 Munford Road, Raleigh, NC 27612.
