William T Edwards

February 17, 1940 — January 4, 2025

William (WT) Edwards, a retired Colonial Store employee and US Army Veteran, passed away on Saturday January 4th, 2025, at his home in Raleigh at the age of 84. WT was born in Sampson County on February 17th, 1940, to the late Laskie and Lena Edwards. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Julia Holmes Edwards and his son WL Edwards. Grandchildren, Chris Edwards and his wife, Kelly; Ashley Edwards-Clark and her husband Justin and one Great-Grandchild, Juliann. Brother Thomas Edwards and his wife Linda; sister Mary Beasley and her husband Benny as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, WT is also preceded in death by his brother Forrest Edwards and sister Connie Johnson.


A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday January 13th, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner, NC. Funeral services to be held at Vandora Springs Church on Tuesday January 14th, 2025, at 1:00 pm and interment at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh following the service.
