ANGIER – Willie Glenn Walker, 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Harnett County, he was the son of the late Willie Walker and Allie Price Walker.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 13th at 11:00 am in the chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Burial will follow the service at Kennebec Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:40 am at the funeral home prior to the service.
Glenn is survived by his daughters, Ann Williams (Ricky) of Benson, Cindy “Sandy” Eakes (David) of Clayton, Brenda Stancil (Dewayne) of North Myrtle Beach, SC, and Tammy Acree (Richard) of Princeton; son, Ricky Glenn Walker (Sherrie) of Coats; grandchildren, “Little” Ricky Williams, Michael Williams, Jonathan Walker, Tiffany Howell, Tabitha Alkarady, and Ashley Barbour; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Marie Windham Walker; daughter, Judy Walker; sisters, Mamie Walker, Pauline Phillips, and Kathleen Ballard; brothers, Harvey Walker and Ray Lee Walker.
