Willie Lawrence Moon

Raleigh – Willie Lawrence Moon, 79, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at his home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 1:30 – 2:30 pm at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Fuquay Varina. The funeral service will follow. A private graveside service will take place earlier. A native of Wake County, Willie was born August 17, 1939, the son of the late Duffie and Ruth Moon and brother of the late Gerald Moon and Betty Baker. He provided for his family by 48 years of work at NC Products, retiring at age 68. He had a passion for cars, loved drag racing and antique car restoration. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Anne Moon. Surviving are his daughters, Kay Sharpe and Lisa Allison-Moon and their spouses Hershel and Beth; his son, Claude Moon and spouse, Leslie and their children and apples of Willie’s eye, Lauren, Hailey, Hannah and Emiley; He is also survived by his siblings, Vickie Matthews and Lacy Moon.
