Willie Pearce Boone

GARNER - Willie Pearce Boone, 84, died Thursday. A retiree from Nationwide Insurance Company, Mrs. Boone was a faithful member of Midway Baptist Church for over 40 years where she taught Sunday School and was involved with Sonshine Express, the bus ministry, Resthome Ministry and was a Missions Supporter. Her passion in life was her family and her church family. She enjoyed hand stitching quilts for family and friends. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday at Midway Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Boone Family Cemetery in Castalia. Survivors include daughters, Marla Seagroves (Eddie) and Gayla Smith (Rae) and son, William Boone, Jr. (Renee); grandchildren, Sherrie Seagroves, Lee Seagroves (Karen), Ryan Boone, Jessica Parker (Jerry) and Jeremy Smith, as well as six great-grandchildren; sisters, Letty Liles and Shirley Hodge, both of Knightdale and Carolyn Tharrington (Billy) of Louisburg; brother-in-law, F.G. Boone (Patsy) of Creedmoor. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Boone, Sr. and her brother, Braxton Pearce (Clyde). The family will receive family and friends from 6-8:00 pm Monday at Midway Baptist Church.
