Willis Everett Brothers

Willis Everett Brothers, 93, passed away peacefully at his home on the morning of Thursday, January 25, 2024. He was born on December 12, 1930 in Clearfield PA to the late Alva and Della Brothers.


He retired from the Air Force as a Lt. Col. He also retired from the E.P.A and the State of North Carolina.


He will be remembered for his unwavering dedication, kindness, and the warmth he shared with all who knew him. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his legacy of love and service live on in the hearts of those he touched.


A memorial service to celebrate the Life of Willis Everett Brothers will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday January 31, 2024 at the First Presbyterian Church of Garner.


He is survived by his children; daughter Cynthia Wedding; sons, William Brothers and Timothy Brothers (Shirley) along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


He is also survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Wanda van Doornewaard and her children; daughters Lainie van Doornewaard and Monique Neville (Edward); her sons, Hans van Doornewaard IV (Nancy), Erik van Doornewaard (Bobby) and Paul van Doornewaard (Sarah) along with many grandchildren.
