Wilma S. Lagarde, 88, of Garner, (formerly of Clayton), passed away on Friday following a courageous battle with Alzheimers. She lived til the end as she had her entire life, with fortitude, a sense of humor, and dignity. She was a devoted wife and mother who touched the lives of all those having had the privilege to know her and be a part of her. For such a tiny woman she had the worlds biggest heart filled with much love for family and friends. A celebration of life service will be held at a Hocutt Baptist Church in Clayton, NC on August 6, 2016. More details to follow. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Glenn LaGarde of the home; a daughter, Kim Beck and husband, Larry of Garner; a sister, Foy McKeithen. Sister-In-Law, Eleanor Sizemore; Brother-In-Laws, Charles Lemon and Ted Jams; Grandchildren, Matt Beck and girlfriend, Jessica Eward, Andrew Beck, and wife, Hannah, Michaela Beck, and “Grandson of her heart” Adam Porter; Great Grandson, Camden Beck-Keil; A special niece, Carol Gillchrist and husband, Danny, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and life long friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Woody and Alice G. Sizemore, brother Raymond Sizemore and beloved nephew Edward McKeithen.
