Zachary Lee Spencer

Zachary Lee Spencer passed away on October 10, 2021. He was born to Melvin “Dale” Spencer and Teresa Spencer on July 4, 2002. He was a resident of Garner NC and enjoyed amusement parks, roller coasters, gardening, gold panning, video games and music. He loved to eat pizza, chicken wings, and swiss rolls. Zachary was very proud of a time when he saved his little brother from drowning at the beach. A positive characteristic he liked about himself was that he was very tall (6 foot 6 inches). Zachary not only liked to eat, but he also loved to cook and aspired to be a famous chef one day. Zachary, your sense of humor and quick wit will always make us smile. We miss you and love you more than words could ever express! Zachary is survived by his father Dale Spencer and stepmother Ruth Spencer of Garner, NC; stepsister Katie Behrle (Dan) of Wendell, NC; mother Teresa Spencer, and younger brother Riley Freeman of Kernersville, NC; older brothers Nicholas Sheets of Valdese, NC, Aaron Sheets of Kernersville, NC, and Aaron Spencer (Amanda) of Sparta, NC; older sisters Ashley Bell of Winston-Salem, NC and Kelly Warnke (Tony) of Sparta, NC; niece Madelyn Bell of Winston-Salem, NC; and grandparents Thurman and Bonnie Dobbs of Rockport, TX. There will be two services. His mother will be holding a memorial service for friends and family on Saturday, October 16 at 3:00 pm at Oaklawn Baptist Church, 3500 Kernersville Road, Winston-Salem NC 27107. His father and stepmother will be holding a memorial service for friends and family in the Raleigh area on Saturday, October 23 at 1:00 pm at Calvary Raleigh Baptist Church, 7900 Ten-Ten Road, Raleigh, NC 27603.
