Zula Mae Kimbrell Adams

Zula Mae Adams, 93, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022. A native of Rutherford County, Zula was born August 27, 1928, to the late Bud Wellington and Lela Braddy Kimbrell. She worked for 30 years at Dorthea Dix Hospital, before retiring. A funeral service will be held Monday, February 7, 2022, in the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel, Garner. Burial will follow at Inwood Baptist Church Cemetery, 3700 Lake Wheeler Road, Raleigh, NC 27603. The family will receive friends from 11-12, at the funeral home. Zula is survived by her sons, Billy Adams and wife, Sue and Larry Adams and wife, Linda; grandchildren, Cory Adams and wife, Ashley, Lauren Hill and husband, Garrett, and Landon Adams and wife, Jenna; great grandchildren, Parker, Eliza, and Jasper Hill, and Raylynn and Fletcher Adams. In addition to her parents, Zula was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Jasper; six brothers, Archie, GW, Carl, Ralph, Dan, and Buddy; and three sisters, Lois, Beulah, and Penny. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Liberty Commons, where Zula resided for the past six years. She was blessed to have her neighbor, and dear friends, the late Peggy Jones, for some of her time there.
